Inter Milan president Massimo Moratti is happy for Samuel Eto'o after he scored for Anzhi on debut.
Eto'o was sold for 27m this week and scored on his debut for Anzhi.
He said: "There is great affection and respect for him, for all he won for us, his professional behaviour and acting as a real leader in our team.
"He had this opportunity and wanted to take it, but we are tied to him, just as he feels close to us, both the club and fans."
Eto'o came on as a substitute at the 58th minute and netted the equaliser in a 1-1 draw away to Rostov at the 80th.
