Inter Milan to open Maicon contract talks to ward off PSG

Inter Milan are set to offer fullback Douglas Maicon a new contract.

Gazzetta dello Sport says the Nerazzurri want to tighten their grip on the player given that he has caught the eye of Paris Saint-Germain.

The right-back, formerly on Monaco, is presently tied to the Stadio Meazza outfit until June 2013. He could be offered an extension until 2015.

Maicon has been heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid on numerous occasions in the past.
