Henrikh Mkhitaryan has rejected a new contract offer from AS Roma.

The veteran midfielder is now ready to sign for Inter Milan as he becomes a free agent this month.

Il Tempo says Mkhitaryan's entourage have informed Roma he would not be extending his contract at the Stadio Olimpico.

There was an ultimatum of 24 hours to make a decision and the warning there would be no further negotiations.

He scored five goals and provided nine assists in 44 competitive games this season, which saw the Giallorossi win the Conference League.
