Manchester United new signing Andre Onana could have been replaced by an ex-Red Devil.
Onana is taking the place of Spaniard David De Gea in the United squad, with De Gea's contract expired.
Per Daily Record, De Gea was given the chance to succeed Onana at Inter Milan.
However, he is said to have declined the offer, as he would prefer a move to Spain.
The 32-year-old had been hoping to renew his deal with United, but could not find an agreement.
Instead, he will now look for a club in his home country where he can play regularly.
