Inter Milan are aiming to trump West Ham United over a long-term deal for Alex Song.

Song is on-loan at West Ham from Barcelona with his spell due to expire in June.

The People says Inter's sporting director Piero Ausilio has already contacted Barcelona to enquire about taking midfielder Song on loan for next season.

His Nou Camp contract will have two more years to run from the summer.
