Inter Milan legend Esteban Cambiasso insists Liverpool did not deserve their Champions League win in midweek.
The Reds beat Simone Inzaghi's side 2-0 at the San Siro in the first leg of their Champions League round of 16 tie.
“(Denzel) Dumfries and (Ivan) Perisic were, for a large part, superior to Andy Robertson and Trent Alexander-Arnold," Cambiasso told Sky Italia.
“But, even in the middle of the field, Inter did well.
“The only superiority of the Reds was between the two central defenders.
“It is no coincidence that the decline of Liverpool [last season] coincided in the period in which Van Dijk was out of action due to the injury."
