Inter Milan GM Beppe Marotta has taken aim at Roma striker Romelu Lukaku.

The Belgian was on loan at Inter last season from Chelsea and was expected to sign permanently.

Marotta said, "Sometimes trust can lead to lost hope and disappointment.

"In football, money rules everything, and when I say that, I'm referring to recent events concerning Inter. But that's behind us, we're looking forward instead."

Lukaku has stated he soon plans to put his side of the summer's controversy in the public arena.
