Manchester United have been told they must go higher to sign Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic.
The Guardian says Inter have rejected United's £35million bid for Perisic – and are holding out for over £50m.
Jose Mourinho offered nearly £20m less than the asking price, as Inter Milan need £26m by June 30 to meet Financial Fair Play regulations.
United were keen to take advantage of their latest financial revelation and low-ball them – but clearly Inter believe they can still get the higher price.
United still face competition for the winger, with European giants Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain interested in the forward.
