Inter Milan defender Cordoba wants Mancini stay

Inter Milan defender Ivan Cordoba hopes coach Roberto Mancini remains in charge next season.

"We have to look at the present and at the moment we need to continue this way," said the 31-year-old. "Mancini has been important for Inter and thanks to his hard work we have managed to succeed."

"I think it is important to give continuity to his work, although I cannot speak on the behalf of the Board."

Cordoba also stated that his former teammate Adriano, now on loan at Sao Paulo, is eagerly awaiting his chance to return to San Siro.

"In my opinion he has a great will to come back and wants to re-start from where he left off a while ago.

"He feels like he owes it to all of us, but I think he will come back as strong as ever," predicted the versatile defender.
