Inter Milan are celebrating Roy Hodgson's appointment as England coach.
Hodgson had two spells on the Inter bench, reaching the UEFA Cup Final in the first 1995-97 period and then returning briefly for the end of the 1997-98 campaign.
"It is with great honesty and happiness that President Moratti and all the Nerazzurri family celebrate the nomination of Roy Hodgson as manager of England," read a club statement.
"The Football Association's choice is the most prestigious prize for an English manager, but in this case rewards a person who has always shown honesty and generosity towards Inter, qualities that formed a rapport of true friendship."
