Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi would be delighted to be confirmed Serie A champions with victory against AC Milan.

Sunday's draw with Cagliari makes the prospect all the more likely.

Inzaghi said: "It would be wonderful. We're reaching the summit and we want to see the view but we're not there yet. We're missing a few points, we're close and we want to get there as quickly as possible.

"Last year we prepared some very special derbies, they were worth the Champions League final and it hadn't happened for 20 years. It was something special. We know what the derby represents for our people, we will face an excellent team that will try to do the just better."

Inzaghi received the Bearzot Trophy today for Coach of the Year and he added: "We know what Bearzot was, a legend for Italian football and an example for us coaches. An award like this makes me proud. I am pleased to receive it today, it is to be shared with the club and my players."
