Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi was left disappointed after their Coppa Italia defeat to Bologna.
Bologna won 2-1 thanks to two extra-time goals from Sam Beukema and Dan Ndyoe after Carlo Augusto had given Inter the lead.
Inzaghi later said: "It's sad because we had won the Cup in the last two years, after a match like this we deserved to win but football is like that. I can blame the last quarter of an hour, it must serve as a lesson to us.
"This year we weren't used to being overtaken, we're not happy, we wanted the quarter-finals but unfortunately Bologna went ahead."
Bologna striker Joshua Zirkzee was key for both goals and Inzaghi added: "Excellent player who continues to perform, he was excellent on the first goal and also on the second. He is a centre-forward who is proving to be on the rise."
