Porto midfielder Fernando wants to join Inter Milan.
Sport Italia says Inter GM Marco Branca has made contact with Fernando and knows the midfielder wants to see the move happen.
Branca is keen to close the deal, not the least because of Fernando's relatively low wage demands.
The midfielder is on around €1 million-a-year at Porto.
