Inter Milan chief Piero Ausilio has confirmed a new deal is due for Ashley Young.
The former Manchester United captain joined Inter on a short-term deal in January.
Ausilio also insists they plan to keep on-loan United striker Alexis Sanchez.
“I can say that we have triggered the option for Young," Ausilio told Sky Sport Italia. “We aim to keep everyone, including Alexis Sanchez.
“He had done very well before the injury, I think of the matches against Barcelona and Sampdoria. He reminded me of the best seasons in Udine and with Arsenal.
“The he was unfortunate, but it can turn into an opportunity for him, this forced break, for him to show his value."
