Inter Milan and Real Madrid are going head-to-head for Olympique Marseille attacking midfielder Samir Nasri.

Real have been following Nasri for over 12 months and are now planning to make a formal move for the France international.

Inter are aware of Real's plans and are also preparing their bid for a player who the Italians see as a replacement for Luis Figo.

Nasri, 19, and likened to former Real star Zinedine Zidane was watched regularly by Madrid scouts last season and is expected to make the move to a bigger competition next year.
