Inter Milan captain Javier Zanetti is adamant they deserved to reach the Champions League final last night.
Barcelona defeated Inter 1-0 in the second-leg of their semifinal, but were bundled out 3-2 on aggregate.
"We suffered, but I think we deserved to reach the Final. There was a difficult atmosphere, but we played our game and earned our place in Madrid," said Zanetti.
Although they lost 1-0 at the Nou Camp to a very late Gerard Pique goal, Thiago Motta was sent off after just 28 minutes.
"What we did tonight proves that we are a great squad. There was a very heavy atmosphere around this semi-final, but we were concentrated on the game and our team spirit was crucial.
"Now we have to focus on Serie A, as we are the leaders with three games to go. Then we can think about the Coppa Italia Final and Madrid."
