Inter Milan captain Javier Zanetti says Wesley Sneijder has been a superb addition to the Serie A champs this season.

After the way the Dutchman has settled into Serie A life, Inter's board can't believe Real Madrid allowed Sneijder to leave them in August.

Zanetti agrees and he said last night: "Wesley showed his talent even in the days of Real. And he's a born fighter with great class and is always ready to lend a hand.

"And his free-kicks are incredible, it reminds me so much of (Alvaro) Recoba."
