Inter Milan captain Javer Zanetti dedicated their Club World Cup triumph to injured teammate Walter Samuel.
Zanetti's fellow Argentine is out for the next six months after a devastating knee injury.
"We dedicate this victory to Samuel, who we cannot wait to welcome back to the squad," he said.
"This is the 15th trophy of my career and I am so happy to round off a fantastic year.
"No Italian side has ever done what Inter have achieved in 2010 and all the Inter fans should be proud of this team."
