Inter Milan boss Jose Mourinho was involved in a heated exchange with Chelsea chief Frank Arnesen at the end of last week's friendly, it has been revealed.

Mourinho let rip at his former Stamford Bridge colleague in the tunnel moments after the Blues' 2-0 win in California.

One eyewitness told the News of the World: "Everyone was taken aback by the furious exchange and as usual it was Jose doing most of the talking.

"It was dramatic stuff - not physical but very, very verbal. He was clearly not happy and it proved what most people have always thought - that there is absolutely no love lost between the pair.

"Jose had been shaking hands with his former players and some of the Chelsea staff but as soon as he met Arnesen it was fireworks."
