Inter Milan boss Leonardo defended Serie A's quality after defeat at home to Bayern Munich.
There has been a hat-trick of Italian sides losing on home turf in the Champions League, but Leonardo is not concerned.
"Serie A sides remain competitive, as I didn't see any enormous difference and the competition remains very balanced," he said.
"We'll go to Munich with optimism and the desire to go through."
