Inter Milan boss Gasperini expects new signings to be made before deadline

Inter Milan boss Gian Piero Gasperini expects new arrivals before the transfer deadline.

The Nerazzurri are set to bring in a new striker to replace the soon to be sold Samuel Eto'o, but the tactician wants more than one new face.

"We all know how good Eto'o is, but I think this is a team that can also be set up differently, though obviously it's the strength of your attack that determines how good you are," he stated.

"Would Inter be weaker without Eto'o? There are other players and we'll start building again with this squad.

"We'll try to get back the players who are out at the moment and we might be able to strengthen a little too.

"Certainly at the moment we're a bit short in certain areas, including midfield, when you think about how many games we'll have to play.

"But the club knows very well what to do. There are still 10 days left before the transfer window closes.

"Up front is where you can increase the quality of your team, but we have to recognise that the transfer situation isn't easy at the moment."
