Inter Milan are sending Joao Cancelo back to Valencia.

The Portugal fullback has shone on-loan at Inter this season, with the option existing for him to sign permanently for a fee of €35m.

However, Superdeporte says Inter have decided not to trigger the clause.

Inter's coaching staff want to keep hold of the fullback, but they're being overruled by the board which are insisting their transfer budget be spent in other areas.

Cancelo will return to Valencia, though he knows he has little chance of a future at the Mestalla.
