Inter Milan attacker Barella: Our locker room full of men who give the maximum

Inter Milan attacker Nicolo Barella has paid tribute to fans after their Champions League final defeat.

Inter's players are now recovering after Saturday's loss to Manchester City.

“I always thought that winning meant glory, and that losing was a failure. But in these years you taught me that there's more to it," the Nerazzurri midfielder explained on an instagram post on Sunday night.

“There's pride and above all the love that you've shown us along the way. The locker room is made up of men who have worked to the maximum to get Inter back to where it deserves to be, I can assure you that we've shed blood, sweat and tears for the shirt.

“There have been victories, which gives us so many positive feelings that we will carry inside us forever. There is also defeat, bitter, difficult to bear, but inspiring in its own way to try to do something even bigger.

“For this reason, the silver medal will be kept close by, along with the victories, and not hidden away in a corner. Thank you to everyone for this fantastic journey."
