Samuel Eto'o was delighted with his hat-trick in Inter Milan's 4-0 thumping of Champions League opponents Werder Bremen.
The Cameroon international never disguised his dissatisfaction at playing in a supporting wide role under Jose Mourinho and at the start of his time under Rafa Benitez.
"I'm happy to win as a striker after winning as a defender last season," smiled Eto'o after the 4-0 triumph.
"This is a victory for the whole team, though. The side played very well, even if we had important players missing, and the youngsters really impressed."
Eto'o is now looking ahead to Sunday's Derby d'Italia against old rivals Juventus.
"It is an important game against a great squad, so we will do everything to win."
