Inter Milan boss Roberto Mancini was satisfied after defeat to AC Milan in China.
A Philippe Mexes volley earned the victory.
“I am happy with our performance, even if we lost the game. The most important thing is that we are improving, as at this stage you cannot be at 100 per cent," said Mancini.
“We will have two games over the next 48 hours, so that's why I changed the team after 60 minutes. It is crucial to avoid injuries and we didn't want to run any risks.
“We tried the 3-5-2 system late on and might do it again, but this was just an experiment."
