Insurance group renews Perth Glory sponsorship

QBE Insurance Group has extended its sponsorship deal with Hyundai A-League soccer team Perth Glory, reports SportsPro. The announcement came at Perth Glory's season launch and sees the Sydney-based insurer extend its current deal for three years. QBE's sponsorship of the Australian soccer team was first penned in 2007.

Though financial terms of the agreement were not released, based on deals of a similar nature QBE's commitment to Perth Glory is estimated to be worth US$700,000 annually.

"Perth Glory greatly values our association with QBE and its incredibly loyal support of our football club which has significantly contributed to the success of Perth Glory and the future of football in the community and will continue to do so," said Perth Glory chief executive Paul Kelly.

Chief executive of QBE Australia and New Zealand Colin Fagen said: "We are very pleased to continue our 16 year strong relationship with Perth Glory as principal partner. QBE's sponsorship will help further engage the local community and foster the growth of football as a spectator sport in the WA region."
