Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane is eager for Ferland Mendy to establish himself.
The France left-back was signed this summer from Lyon and is battling Marcelo for a place in Zidane's starting XI.
And Okdiario's chief pundit Eduardo Inda, speaking on El Chiringuito, revealed: "Mendy is a player that I think is the great success of the signings.
"The idea that Zidane has is that he is the starting left side, the first-choice in all the lineups.
"Physically, he is out-of-the-box and he is going to be a star in Madrid. He (Zidane) likes him better than Marcelo right now."
