INSIDER: Man Utd board have spoken to Solskjaer

Manchester United's board are standing by manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

But according to Fabrizio Romano, United bosses have warned Solskjaer that if results don't improve then they may be forced to revisit the situation.

Talking to The United Stand, Romano stood by the fact United saw Solskjaer as their man for the future, although there was an inkling of doubt.

"As of now, they are not speaking with any other manager," Romano said.

"They are backing Ole 100 per cent and supporting him. They gave him a new contract in the summer so the message was clear.

"There are keeping the idea of continuing the project with Solskjaer but of course they expect something different, this is part of the game.

"They expect something different in the Premier League and they were lucky in the Champions League against Villarreal.

"They will have Atalanta next who are a hard game and not easy to play, so that will be a good test to understand the state of United.

"But as of now they are with the manager, they are happy - although they expect Ole to change the situation in the next couple of weeks."
