Inler ponders Leicester exit as Euro2016 looms

Gokhan Inler admits he is considering a possible Leicester City departure this winter.

The 31-year-old central midfielder joined the Foxes from Napoli in the summer but has made just four Premier League appearances under Claudio Ranieri.

With Leicester currently topping the table after a fabulous first half of the season, Inler finds himself in a precarious position as he could be on the verge of achieving something special in the East Midlands despite only being a bit-part player at the King Power Stadium.

However, Inler's agent Dino Lamberti says his client is also thinking of the summer's European Championships with Switzerland and is well aware he will need to find regular playing time in the early stages of next year in order to retain a place in Vladimir Petkovic's side.

"Gokhan is, more than ever, willing to come out on top at Leicester City," said Lamberti.

"Of course, due to his current situation, in which he is part of a team that is doing exceptionally well, yet hardly featuring, I am in close contact with a number of clubs as potential suitors - be it on loan or on a permanent deal.

"Leading up to Euro 2016 and being the captain of the Swiss national team Gokhan does need more regular match practice under his belt.

"However, at this point we won't come to rash conclusions, but analyse the situation accordingly and in close co operation with Leicester and their director of football, Jon Rudkin."
