Independiente are interested in Blackburn Rovers midfielder Mauro Formica.

Formica, 23, has struggled since Steve Kean signed him from Newell's Old Boys for around £3.5million and now he could go home in the window.

Independiente are keen to sign the attacking midfielder, who knows about their interest and may fancy the switch but it will come down to whether they can afford to put together any deal.
