Independiente are chasing Real Valladolid midfielder Richard Escudero.

The young Argentine was brought to Spain by Villarreal and joined Valladolid at the start of the season. But the midfielder has only managed nine games so far this term and is attracting fresh interest from back home.

Independiente coach Miguel Angel Santoro wants to sign Escudero for the new Argentine season.
