​IMG secure deal to sell LaLiga media rights

Global sports agency IMG has been appointed to sell and distribute the media rights to Spanish soccer's top-tier La Liga in 12 European countries, reports, www.sportspromedia.com/.

The three-year deal includes rights for the 2018/19, 2019/20 and 2020/21 seasons, and is across all media platforms.

The agreement covers the Balkans, where IMG will be selling into Hungary, Romania, Serbia, Bosnia, Croatia, Slovenia, Macedonia and Montenegro. Meanwhile in the Nordics, IMG will distribute rights in Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Finland.

"We are extremely proud to be working with LaLiga to distribute their coverage across all platforms," said Enric Rojas senior vice president of sales for IMG Media.

"La Liga is one of the strongest and most popular leagues in world football and is extremely popular with a large and dedicated following in both the Nordic and Balkan countries."
