Ikeme signs new Wolves deal and joins Doncaster on loan

Wolves goalkeeper Carl Ikeme has penned a new contract with the club and was immediately sent out on loan to Doncaster Rovers.

The 25-year old had just returned from a loan with Middlesbrough before signing a three-and-a-half year deal with the Molineux club and will now spend time with Championship strugglers Doncaster.

Despite this being his eighth loan spell since joining Wolves in 2003, Ikeme feels he has a future with the club.

"I enjoyed playing at Middlesbrough and will try to do the same for Doncaster," he said. "Beyond that, I want to push for the place at Wolves and wouldn't have signed if I didn't."
