New West Brom signing Pablo Ibanez says the reputation of young manager Roberto di Matteo has spread to Spain.

Ibanez is looking forward to working under Di Matteo, who he claims is developing an excellent reputation within the game, having steered MK Dons into the League One play-offs and Albion to automatic promotion to the Premier League in his first two seasons in the dug-out.

"I obviously know of the head coach from his playing days but I've also been putting questions about him to people who know him," he said.

"He is a young coach who has done a great job in the two years he has been coaching.

"He did well at MK Dons and winning promotion to the Premier League with Albion at the first attempt was a great achievement."
