Nolito has admitted that he once went after the Real Madrid playing shirt of David Beckham.

The Manchester City star scored a goal in a Copa del Rey (Spanish Cup) first leg clash with Real when he was playing in the third division with Ecija back in 2006.

The 30-year-old, who was 20 at the time, was eager to obtain Manchester United great Beckham's kit but instead landed that of Robinho, who coincidentally went on to play for City following his stint in Madrid.

“I remember getting Robinho's shirt," he told the Daily Mail.

“I would have liked Beckham's but my uncle wanted Robinho's."
