Tottenham defender Alan Hutton has revealed that his drawn-out decision to join last month from Rangers was down to considerations for his pregnant wife Kylie and son Louis.

"It was just too big to decide overnight, not only for myself, so I just asked for time," he said. "I had been at Rangers my whole career. I didn't take it lightly and thankfully my wife was behind me."
