Hull City striker Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink is looking forward to making his FA Cup debut against Wigan Athletic.
The Dutch striker is hoping to win a place in the side after impressing as a second half substitute in the draw against Bolton on Tuesday night.
"I'm really looking forward to the game," Vennegoor of Hesselink told Hull's website.
"It's a big thing for me because I used to watch the competition on the television as a young boy. I used to watch the competition all the way through.
"Now, I've finally got the chance to play in the FA Cup myself and that is a great thing for me. I hope to start, but it is the manager's choice.
"Often in this cup, it can be the small teams against the bigger teams, but we've drawn a Premier League side straight away.
"We're close together in the league and I'm sure it will be a tight game in the cup. Wigan are capable of playing some really good football, so we have to stop them from doing that.
"Hopefully we will get a similar result to when we played them in the league. The same scorers would be nice as well!"
