Hull's Gardener eyes permanent Palace move

Defender Anthony Gardner is currently on loan with Crystal Palace from Championship rivals Hull and is keen to make the switch permanent. Gardner has become a regular in the Palace side after joining from Championship rivals Hull in September and the 30-year-old hopes the Eagles will offer him a deal after he helped them avoid relegation.

"I think it is fair to say I would like to be a Crystal Palace player next year," he told the Croydon Advertiser. "I'm still a Hull player but I feel like a Crystal Palace player now.

"I've enjoyed every minute of it here, the players, the fans everyone has made me feel at home.

"I'm out of contract at the end of the season and nothing has been decided yet, but I would like to be a Crystal Palace player here next season."
