Hull City winger George Boyd will appeal a Football Association charge against him for spitting.
The 28-year old was involved in an altercation with Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart during the weekend's clash at the KC Stadium.
Scotland international Boyd is alleged to have spat at Hart after the England keeper reacted angrily when he went down easily in the area, prompting a charge from the FA.
But reports suggest that Boyd will challenge the decision of the three-man independent panel who came to the conclusion that the Tigers midfielder had acted with misconduct.
