Relegated Hull City are ready to name Nigel Pearson new manager this week.
The Mirror says Pearson will be appointed Hull's new manager this week when the Tigers pay Leicester £350,000 compensation.
Pearson has one year left on his deal at the Walkers Stadium and is said to be excited by the challenge of trying to restore Hull's fortunes in the Championship.
Pearson, 46, will not have any money to buy players at the KC Stadium, but he has been promised cash to pay the wages of anyone he can attract on loan or on free transfers.
He is the surprise choice to succeed Phil Brown at Hull after the board cooled their interest in front runner Paul Hart and Tony Mowbray.
