Hull City are moving to sign permanently Sunderland midfielder David Meyler.

The Sun says Meyler is set for a £1.5million switch to Hull.

The Republic of Ireland midfielder will make his loan move to the KC Stadium permanent subject to personal terms and a medical.

The 23-year-old is well down the pecking order at the Stadium of Light and has made just 14 Premier League starts in an injury-plagued 4½ years on Wearside.
