Hull good enough to stay up - Myhill

Hull City goalkeeper Boaz Myhill is delighted to be back in the Premiership.

He said: "It took me five years to get to the Premier League after I left Aston Villa, so it was a great day for me made even better by our first win in the top flight.

"This is a different challenge for me at this level, and it will be a magnificent achievement if the club can continue to build in the way it has done over the time I have been at Hull.

"You never know how far we can go, but we showed again on Saturday the character that has taken us to the top level. If we keep that, we may well be good enough to stay up."

He added: "Since I have been at Hull a lot has changed - a new stadium, several managers - and now we are in the Premier League.

"Certainly being in the Wales squad has helped my development, and everything that has happened to me in the last year or so has been a great experience.

"Maybe when I left Villa I could not have envisaged where I am now. At Villa, when I was about 20, I felt I was not good enough to play for the first team and needed to go somewhere else to gain experience and move my career along.

"That is what I did. It could have gone differently but at Hull things have snowballed and we have to keep that going."
