Bournemouth are planning a surprise swoop for Michael Dawson, according to reports from the Daily Mirror.

Bournemouth are currently in the market to sign a new centre back and it has now emerged that the Cherries have identified Hull City's Dawson as a target.

Hull manager Steve Bruce regards Dawson as an indispensable member of his squad though and it remains to be seen whether the Tigers will allow the former Tottenham skipper to leave the club for a Premier League return this summer.
