Hull boss Bruce set for crucial meeting with owner Allam

Hull City boss Steve Bruce faces an important weekend of discussions before he commits to replacing eight summer departures.

Bruce is said to have had positive talks on Thursday with club owner Assem Allam to agree his budget for the new season, after the club dropped into the Championship.

Hull boss is hopeful that Allam will support his bid to bring in new signings and help the club rise up out of relegation and back to the Premier League.

The former Manchester United captain, who signed a three-year deal with the club in April, wants further discussions with Allam before he decides whether or not to stay with the Tigers.

After eight players left the KC Stadium, Bruce is keen to bring in some fresh blood and has his eye on Brentford's Andre Gray, versatile ex-Newcastle United man Ryan Taylor, former Stoke City midfielder Wilson Palacios and Southend's keeper Dan Bentley.
