Hull boss Bruce: Chelsea's Courtois, Man Utd's de Gea will be Europe's best

Speaking in the wake of his side's 3-2 defeat against Chelsea, Hull City boss Steve Bruce heaped praise on Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois.

The Belgian was the main culprit behind Hull's second goal, scored by Abel Hernandez, but he more than made up for his mistake through a string of fine saves when the score was still leveled at 2-2, including a fine triple save in the second half.

The performance of Courtois prompted Bruce to speak highly of his abilities and feels that he will for a long time be one of Europe's top glovemen alongside Manchester United's David De Gea.

"I think he's proved that him (Courtois) and David De Gea, who are both fantastic goalkeepers, will be fighting it out for the best in Europe for years to come," said Bruce.
