Hull City boss Phil Brown admits Premiership clubs are getting closer to their £12 million valuation for defender Michael Turner.
"There have been two or three clubs quite substantial bids," Brown told the Hull Daily Mail. "And they are getting towards our valuation.
"I am hoping we can hang on to him but, if we don't, we will have to try and get better in the camp.
"The problem is we are a bit close to the deadline. I am talking to a Premier League striker this weekend and, hopefully, if he passes the medical we will get him in.
"I am also talking to a Premier League centre half - just in case."
