Hull City boss Phil Brown insists Dean Windass can be part of their Premiership campaign.
"People say to me 'at 39, will he still play another season in the Championship let alone the Premier League?'" said Brown.
"I'm not in the business of being sympathetic. But with his attitude, it would be foolish to dismiss him.
"Our desire is to survive in the Premier League next season. But if I feel Dean can help us in that, he will continue."
