Championship Hull are in no rush to install a new boss following the dismissal of Nick Barmby for questioning the board's ambition. "I can understand the concerns of fans and the fact that they want to see a manager in place as quickly as possible," Hull vice-chairman Ehab Allam told the Hull Daily Mail. "I didn't envisage having to go through this process at this time, but that's the situation we're in.

"Thankfully though, we are at the start of the off-season, so there's a bit of time for us and we don't have to rush into anything.

"We don't want the matter to drag on and we recognise the need to bring some stability to matters. But having said that, I'm not putting any deadline on it."
