Dagenham and Redbridge midfielder Shane Huke has decided to return to Australia citing personal/family reasons.

The 23-year old had a stint with Peterborough United prior to joining the Daggers in 2007.

"Shane has decided he needs to go back to Australia until at least next season, if returning at all," Daggers manager John Still told the club's official website.

"So we thank him for the fantastic effort he has put in and thank him for being an unbelievable lad and personality around the place and I'm very sad and disappointed for him and his family and wish him all the best for the future."
