Hughes tribute to influence of Fulham boss Hodgson

Aaron Hughes has paid tribute to Fulham manager Roy Hodgson for the way he has improved the team since his arrival.

The Northern Ireland defender told fulhamfc.com: "When the Manager came in last January he put across what he wanted us to do straight away and we clicked at the right time. We had the whole of pre-season to work on it and we've seen the benefits of that this season. We've never really changed our game and we've done what the Manger wants us to do and it's got us some good results this year.

"Some of our performances away from home this season have deserved a win but for some reason it hasn't worked out like that. We'll go to Manchester City on Sunday full of confidence knowing that we can get a result. To look back and say we've finished as high as Fulham has ever finished has got to be a target for us. It would be a lovely bonus."
